There’s a weird phase a lot of us hit in our 40s and 50s. It’s not exactly a crisis, but it’s definitely a shift.

You look the same (mostly). Life looks the same (on paper). But something feels… off.


You’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix. You forget what you were doing mid-activity. Your motivation’s gone missing. And even when you do manage to do all the right things - eat well, exercise, get outside - you still don’t feel quite like yourself.


Sound familiar?


That’s where I found myself not long ago. I didn’t need fixing, I just wanted to feel a bit more like me again and less like I was scrabbling around in the dark every day.


One of the most helpful things I did was pause and start checking in with myself more regularly - asking, How am I feeling, really? How do I want to feel? And what can I do that will support me right now?


That’s where affirmations came in. Not necessarily the ones you say in the mirror (unless that’s your thing). But just quiet reminders, thoughts to come back to when things felt messy, uncertain, or heavy. So, if you’re in a similar season, here are some that might offer a little steadiness for you too.

  • I feel more connected every day.

  • I choose habits that energise and sustain me.

  • Wellness fits into my life with ease.



If You're In This Phase Too…


Midlife is full of change. Some of it is expected. A lot of it isn’t. And even if you know what’s going on - hormones, perimenopause, all of it - it doesn’t always make it easier to navigate.


So if you’re feeling a bit out of sync, here’s your reminder: You’re adjusting. Recalibrating. You’re doing your best in a body and brain that might be asking for something different now.

It was a few small shifts like this that felt manageable, alongside some wellness tools that supported things like my energy, mood, and sleep. Nothing fancy. Just practical, low-cost things that fit into a day that already felt full.
